Position Overview:

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor/Manager, the Driver/Lead Hand is responsible for assisting the Supervisor with daily operations, vehicle switch-outs and is a backup driver for all routes. The position requires the ability to work within a number of spheres of operation including both on road and in the office. The position requires an understanding of administrative components of the operation and requires the ability to work on several computer platforms.

This is a dual position with the majority of the time driving as required with some administrative duties for the Lead Hand.

Primary Responsibilities

• Be prepared to switch off broken down vehicles or complete a run on last minute notice.
• Filling in, driving shifts for those who are off or have called in
• Be prepared to transport vehicles to the Woodstock or London Base for service as needed and transport back
• Administration work could consist of drivers passenger count reports, disinfecting reports, employee safety deficiencies reports.
• Immediately reports and documents all injuries, collisions or property damage that occurs
• Perform safety blitzes or road observations on drivers at the direction of the Operations Supervisor
• All other duties as outlined by the Supervisor/Manager

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Must have a valid \xe2\x80\x9cF\xe2\x80\x9d class license
• Must possess a clean drivers abstract
• Must possess a clean criminal record search
• Excellent, strong proven customer service experience
• Professional telephone manner
• Good organization and communications skills
