Position Summary:

The Driver is responsible for the customer service experience as it is provided to contractors, builders and customers during the delivery of purchased products and services. The Driver must have the ability to effectively communicate to customers and coworkers, ensuring timely deliveries as scheduled. The Driver is expected to understand and adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines to ensure the safety of themselves and all those involved. Drivers in our Trim & Doors division are also responsible for carrying materials to job sites daily, with assistance from a coworker.

Health and Safety:

Commitment to safety by following company safety rules and regulations. Follows the Uniform policy and wearing proper PPE. Identifies and reports unsafe conditions or hazards. Maintains a clean and neat work environment.

Customer Service:

Follows Turkstra's approach to World Class Customer Service. Greets and advises customers by providing useful knowledge of productions and services; utilizing resources where required. Process customer orders by locating and loading product into customer and company vehicles, exercise proper load building, securing, and unloading techniques. Seeks to earn 100% of the customer's business (100% wallet share). Place loads on site in a manner that is complimentary to customer's needs and does not violate city ordinances. Accurately and quickly process returns on site with full product codes and return material to branch. - Level 2 Use people skills to effectively manage difficult customers, problems and complaints. - Level 3

Daily Operations:

Responsible for maintaining vehicle appearance according to Turkstra standards. Ensure MTO compliance by completing circle checks, logging any issues, and reporting to appropriate management team member. Utilize K8 delivery app to complete deliveries, including photos and notes where required.

Business Objectives:

Work together with the branch team to achieve key performance indicators (KPI's). Plan routes according to the best distance and travel time. Support Turkstra's green initiative programs by avoiding idling and practicing fuel efficient driving practices. Support Turkstra's maintenance program by ensuring truck appearance and ensuring WET Maintenance is done on schedule.

Training and Development:

Completes all LMS course assignments within assigned timeframes. Assists in the training and support of coworkers (when and where appropriate).

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for any and all other duties as may be required from time to time in accordance with proper training and certification requirements

Qualifications:

Education/Experience Requirements:

3 years of driving experience. Must be comfortable driving a manual transmission. Clean Driver's Abstract. General interest in the construction industry. Experience or knowledge with related products and services. Load building, securing and dumping experience an asset. Experience of construction industry an asset.

Abilities/Skill Requirements:

Customer focused. Communication skills, both verbal and written. Product Knowledge. Detailed oriented. General math skills. Ability to work in a fast pace work environment.

Physical Requirements:

Minimum lift requirement of 66 lbs. Ability to carry materials to job sites daily. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
