Clean Harbors is seeking a

Class 1 Driver

to join their safety conscious team in

Delta, BC

! This is a unionized position. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Tractor Trailer units for the safe transportation of hazardous waste from client sites to the designated Clean Harbors facility.

Route Schedule: Specifically handling waste pick up servicing our clients in the Lower Mainland & province wide. The individual will also handle routes out of province - such as transporting waste to our Ryley Alberta landfill, that may require 3 or more days on the road.

Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times Perform drum pick-ups from customer sites operating Tractor Trailers. Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded, etc.). Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment. Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units. Responsible for maintaining daily logs, worksheets, timecard, expense reports, dispatch & trip reports and vehicle inspection reports. Responsible for the proper placarding of vehicle to meet all requirements/regulations. Maintain and clean assigned company equipment as well as ensure the equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order. Valid Class 1 driver's license required. 2+ years of previous operating experience of Tractor Trailers. Ability to physically load and unload drums and other materials. Forklift certified highly preferred. Previous experience with manual transmission, 18 speed required. Live within close commuting distance to our Delta facility to pick/drop off up the truck.
