: Class 1 Driver

Hours

: Weekdays day shift (scheduled at 4 days X 10 hour days Monday to Thursday)

Hourly Rate:

$32.45 per hour ($33.45 after one year)

Position Overview

: Local delivery driver within Vancouver Island. Our trucks are on a full maintenance program and our trailers are well maintained to ensure smooth operations - we want you driving, not trouble shooting mechanical issues! Our typical delivery routes include about 50% pallet deliveries and 50% hand-cart deliveries; there certainly is an amount of physical work but we aren't lugging around heavy products all day, every day.

We expect:

Daily pre and post trip vehicle inspections. Completion of daily trips logs. Delivery of packaged and kegged goods to licensee locations. Drive in a safe and professional manner. Report any faults or safety issues pertaining to vehicle to Warehouse Supervisor.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Competencies

Hold a valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean commercial driver's abstract Be physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (60+ lbs) Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency Be bondable Have at least 6 months Class 1 Driving Experience Previous professional driving experience preferred Basic mechanical abilities an asset
