Job Overview
A Class 3 driver working at V Contracting Inc, is responsible for operating commercial vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from construction sites. Key responsibilities include:

• Vehicle Operation : Safely driving Class 3 vehicles, such as dump trucks or flatbeds, to deliver construction materials like gravel, sand, or equipment.
• Pre-Trip Inspections : Conducting daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and safety equipment.
• Loading and Unloading : Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring they are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Documentation : Completing necessary paperwork, including delivery slips, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
• Safety Compliance : Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following traffic laws.
• Communication : Maintaining clear communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and construction site personnel to coordinate deliveries and address any issues.

Qualifications for this role include a valid Class 3 driver's license with an air brake endorsement, a clean driving record, and experience operating commercial vehicles. Additional certifications, such as forklift operation or crane operation, may be advantageous. Physical fitness is important due to the demands of loading and unloading materials.

Experience

• Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred.
• Familiarity with on-site operations and logistics is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading processes.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members and customers.
• A valid Class 3 driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Pay: $23.00 per hour
