for Class 1, 2, 3, and 4 programs. Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, engaging driver training for Class 1, 2, 3, and 4 licensing programs and code 07 and 20 Instruct students in both in-vehicle and in-yard driving techniques, safety protocols, and industry best practices Provide clear, constructive feedback to support student learning and skill development Maintain accurate student records, training logs, and assessment forms Prepare students for ICBC road tests by teaching exam requirements and evaluating readiness Ensure all instruction aligns with ICBC standards and curriculum guidelines Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and respect at all times Participate in instructor development and certification programs as needed Perform basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns Collaborate with administrative staff and fellow instructors to support student success Willing to work evenings and weekends

Experience

Valid BC Class 1 driver's licence Minimum 3 years of recent commercial driving experience (required) Clean driving record with no major violations or suspensions Previous teaching or mentoring experience is an asset, but not required Experience operating a variety of commercial vehicles, including manual transmissions Familiarity with ICBC road testing procedures and safety standards is an asset Comfortable working with adult learners from diverse backgrounds Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain patient, calm, and professional under pressure
