Driver & Mover (Swamper / Moving Experience Wanted) - one position

Destinations Seniors Downsizing is looking for a safety?minded, physically?fit driver and mover with a background in moving, swampers, or general labour. If you have spent your days packing furniture and contents, loading the truck, moving, and making deliveries, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities

Safely operate and manoeuvre a 16?ft cube truck.

Load and unload household goods using dollies, straps, and blankets.

Lift, carry, and repeatedly position furniture and boxes up to 75?lbs throughout the shift.

Pack, wrap, and secure items for transport.

Disassemble and reassemble furniture.

Work cooperatively with a crew of 2?6, communicating clearly with the Project Manager.

Adapt to varied job sites and make on?the?spot decisions to keep the move efficient and damage?free.

Complete daily time card.

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years in a physically?demanding role such as warehouse associate, order picker, shipper/receiver, swamper, furniture mover, or general labourer.

Proven ability to safely lift 75?lbs and perform repetitive manual handling.

Class?5 driver's licence with clean abstract and confident driving a 16?ft cube truck.

Solid understanding of safe material?handling practices - lifting techniques, load securement, PPE.

Customer?service mindset; you will work in clients' homes and must be respectful and discreet.

Comfortable using basic hand tools for quick disassembly/assembly.

Organized and reliable - you show up on time, keep gear tidy, and record tasks accurately.

Nice?to?Have

Experience hanging artwork, setting up electronics, or performing light handyman tasks.

Hours & Compensation

Part?time: 15?30 hours/week, generally Mon-Fri 8:30?AM?-?3:30?PM, with occasional weekends.

Guaranteed minimum of 15 hours/week; most shifts are 3?6 hours.

Wage?$20-$30/hour commensurate with experience; paid bi-weekly.

Hiring Process

Must have truck driving experience (16 ft cube truck or bigger).

Provide a recent driver's abstract (require a clean abstract) and consent to a Police Information Check.

Having previous experience working with a moving company is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
