We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Drama Instructor to inspire students through the performing arts. This role involves designing engaging curricula, leading theatrical activities, and fostering a creative environment for learners of all ages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in theater, classroom management, and experience working with children or adults in educational settings. Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive drama curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
Lead engaging theater classes, rehearsals, and performances that encourage creativity and teamwork.
Manage classroom behavior to create a positive learning environment conducive to artistic growth.
Plan lessons that incorporate various theatrical techniques, including acting, stage movement, and improvisation.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs.
Provide constructive feedback to students to support their artistic development and confidence building.
Organize special projects such as photography sessions, costume design, or stage production activities.
Collaborate with other instructors or staff on school or community theater productions.
Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment that promotes respect and discipline.
Skills
Strong background in theater arts, including experience with acting, stage management, or production.
Proven ability in curriculum development and lesson planning for diverse age groups.
Excellent classroom management skills with experience working with children or adult learners.
Experience in tutoring or teaching theater, drama, or related arts such as dance (ballet, dancing) or sewing for costume design.
Knowledge of childhood development, early childhood education, preschool experience, and behavior management strategies.
Familiarity with photography, culinary arts (cooking), or childcare is a plus for integrated arts programs.
Ability to adapt teaching techniques for special education needs and inclusive classrooms.
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a love of the arts.
Creative mindset with an understanding of theatrical concepts such as theater history and performance techniques. This position is ideal for individuals dedicated to nurturing creativity in learners while utilizing their expertise in drama and related arts disciplines.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
