Drain Cleaning Technician/Plumbing Apprentices

About the Role

As a Drain Cleaning Technician / Plumbing Apprentice, you will:

Core Responsibilities

Perform residential, commercial, and restaurant drain cleaning services. Clear clogs in sinks, tubs, toilets, floor drains, and main sewer lines. Operate drain cleaning and sewer jetting equipment: augers, cable machines, high-pressure jetters, high-heat hoses, and inspection cameras. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair drain issues, including replacing piping and installing clean-outs. Conduct video inspections and accurately locate issues underground. Maintain and operate service vehicles, jetting equipment, and tools. Complete all reporting and service documentation using a company tablet. Communicate with customers and the plumbing team daily; provide professional, honest service. Assist with jobsite preparation, heavy lifting, equipment setup, and general labour duties. Work from blueprints and job specifications where applicable. Participate in on-call rotation; occasional evenings and weekends as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience is preferred -- but

we are willing to train the right candidate

Experience (Asset, Not Mandatory)

Drain cleaning, plumbing, septic, or mechanical experience Sewer jetting or camera inspection (1-2 years an asset) 3+ years experience using hand and power tools

Technical Requirements

Fluent in English (verbal & written) Valid

Class 5 Driver's License

with clean abstract (minimum 2-3 years driving experience) Comfortable using tablets or mobile service software Ability to operate tools and equipment required for the trade Ability to pass a criminal background check

Physical Requirements

Able to lift in excess of 50kg (heavy pipes, drain cleaning equipment, water heaters, etc.) Stamina to work on your feet for long periods Able to work in confined spaces and varying weather conditions
