The Drafter is responsible for developing construction drawings, permit drawings, preparing allocation files, and assist the designers as required.

What You'll Do:

Developing construction drawings and permit drawings. Preparing allocation files and revising as needed. Design and prepare layout, assembly, and detail drawings for VF standards Organize and maintain a design and CAD digital file for each project Brainstorm as part of a team to improve and/or develop design concepts using CAD Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets Other duties as assigned


Who You Are:

1-2 Years knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD and Ability to utilize AutoCAD commands in a variety of ways Basic knowledge in coordinate systems and GIS Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Able to take directions and work independently Skills required to manage, organize, and lay out CAD drawings High School drafting course completion is an asset Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Google Earth Valid class 5 drivers license is asset Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills Meticulous attention to detail Positive attitude with strong work ethic Ability to work and engage others as part of a team Self-motivation to meet short term deadlines Ability to work well under pressure Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment High level of professionalism Ability to adapt to changing priorities


Working conditions:

Ability to work in an office Ability to work on internal systems for long periods of time Ability to work overtime as workload demands Ability to visit various job sites as needed
