Job Summary:



We are seeking a detail-oriented - and technically skilled Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Technologist/Drafter to join our team. This role will work alongside experienced engineers and designers to provide design and support in the development of engineering drawings, documentations, and technical specifications for various electrical and instrumentation projects. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical and instrumentation design principles as well as project coordination of drawing packages, compliance with industry standards and project requirements, and support construction and commissioning efforts.

Responsibilities:



Prepare and revise engineering drawings (single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and general arrangements) using AutoCAD and/or other CAD software.

Develop and maintain documentation, including bills of materials, cable schedules, and loop diagrams.

Coordinate drawing packages to align with project milestones, client requirements, and internal quality standards.

Review design documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry codes and standards.

Assist with technical specifications and equipment data sheets for electrical and instrumentation systems.

Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project managers to meet deadlines and resolve design issues.

Maintain organized drawing archives and adhere to document control procedures.

Qualifications:



Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (preferably BCIT graduate) Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software 2-4 years of relevant experience Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively independently and/or in a team environment Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation codes and standards Knowledge of project management principles and practices is an asset Proficiency in Excel and coding and writing scripts is an asset

Salary Range:

$60k-80k/year
