to join our Engineering Department in Calgary, AB.

have a

starting salary range of $45,000.00

-

$55,000.00 per annum

The Drafter supports the Research & Development and Engineering Teams. The position prepares technical drawings and detailed layouts for each project. They will have the skill set to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and related design documents as well as be capable of working within a 3D/parametric drawing and design environment.

Essential Functions for this Role are:

Update Models & drawings with as-built information Undertake quality control processes related to existing Engineering data Make recommendations to improve team processes and information access needs Review designs submitted by other team members Provide clerical support such as maintaining spreadsheets and databases Work closely with various departments including engineering, project management, supply chain and manufacturing Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills required:

Completion of grade 12, supplemented by technical courses related to the work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience Proficient in English (both spoken and written) Able to read and interpret engineering plans and understand specifications Strong problem solving with accuracy in a technical environment Work efficiently in a team environment with little supervision Able to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines in a multi-task environment Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Experience preparing Solid Works Models and drawings Experience in an Industrial Manufacturing Environment Intermediate experience with current generation Microsoft Office software Strong mechanical aptitude and hands on design and testing skills Capable of analyzing data in order to support the development of designs, drawings, modification and adjustments to effect and deliver new and modified product designs and resolve product performance issues.
