About the Role
This position is 90% shop-based, focusing on diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of diesel emission components. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting, and taking ownership of equipment quality. While occasional deliveries or parts runs may occur, this is not a driving role.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, clean, and restore diesel particulate filters (DPF) and related emission system components.
Operate cleaning and diagnostic equipment, performing flow testing.
Conduct light welding, fabrication, and equipment repair as needed.
Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient shop environment.
Manage incoming and outgoing parts and service orders through the CRM system.
Support shipping and receiving of components and track inventory levels.
Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding repair status or technical findings.
Follow company safety procedures and ensure all work meets quality standards.
What We're Looking For
Experience as a shop technician, diesel mechanic, or related technical trade.
Strong mechanical aptitude, with some welding or fabrication experience preferred.
Familiarity with diesel systems or emission components (DPF, DOC, SCR) is an asset.
Comfortable using digital systems or CRMs for documentation and workflow tracking.
Reliable, organized, and self-directed in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and performing hands-on mechanical work.
Valid driver's license with a clean record (for occasional vehicle use).
