Door Hardware Consultant

We're looking for a Door Hardware Consultant with experience in commercial projects to help us prepare hardware schedules, shop drawings and providing technical expertise on doors and hardware.

Responsibilities and Duties

Create door and hardware schedules for commercial/ICI projects Review specifications, drawings, and recommend compliant hardware Develop shop drawings and technical submittals Ensure compliance with fire, accessibility, and building codes Support with estimating and procurement Communicate with GCs, architects, and manufacturers

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

3+ years in hardware project management and/or consulting/specification Knowledge of Sargent, Best, Adamsrite, LCN, Stanley, etc. Experience with fire-rated and electrified hardware (including automatic door operators) Familiarity with BC Building Code and accessibility requirements DHI certification is an asset (AHC/CDC) Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and similar software
