Drumlin Plasma is a Canadian plasma pheresis company. We are proud to be a leading provider of high-quality plasma globally. Drumlin specializes in supplying plasma to producers of in vitro diagnostics (IVD) test kits that diagnose individuals with bleeding disorders.

Overview


We are growing!!! As we grow, we are seeking a Donor Screener to join the small team at our plasma collection center!

Our center is open Monday to Saturday, some Saturday shifts are to be expected.

The donor screener is responsible for screening donors for eligibility to donate plasma.

Key Accountabilities



Welcomes and engages donors Confirms donor's identification and eligibility Review donor questionnaires Assesses donor vital signs Tests Donor's blood sample for Total Protein and Hematocrit levels.

Strong organizational Skills Strong communication and documentation skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to collaborate as part of an interprofessional team Ability to develop good rapport with new and existing donors Maintains composure in stressful situations

Core competencies:



Ability to work on a collaborative team Ability to follow GMP procedures and documentation requirements. Demonstrates consistency and reliability Great communication skills and must be able to record words and numbers legibly and accurately. Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and demonstrate mathematical skills Is committed to ensuring donor and employee confidentiality.

Preferred competencies:



Experience in a medical office setting Experience with blood collection Experience with dealing with members of the public

Education:



At least a high school diploma or equivalent

Experience:



Minimum of one (1) year experience in a clerical or customer service-related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
