Donor Development Officer
to play a vital role in advancing our mission through donor engagement and strategic fundraising.
This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating strategies to grow philanthropic support and ensure the long-term sustainability of our programs. By fostering meaningful relationships with donors, foundations, and community partners, the Donor Development Officer strengthen and enhances JCFS' impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, present, and execute an annual donor development plan aligned with organizational priorities, in collaboration with senior leadership
Support agency fund development initiatives, including direct mail campaigns, digital appeals, tribute cards, peer-to-peer campaigns, and special events
Identify and cultivate new donors, including individuals, foundations, and businesses
Prepare donor reports, fundraising metrics, and progress updates for leadership, committees, and the Board
Work with the Communications team to produce engaging donor materials
Maintain and manage the donor database (CRM), ensuring accurate records and donor history
Create and implement stewardship strategies, including personalized acknowledgments and impact reporting
Plan and coordinate donor meetings, tours, and outreach opportunities
Support planned giving and legacy initiatives
Ensure all fundraising activities meet CRA regulations and ethical standards
Participate in agency-wide meetings, planning, committees, and community events
Qualifications:
Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or a related field
Strong writing, organizational, and relationship-building skills
Familiarity with Raiser's Edge/fundraising software
Passion for community service and social impact
Knowledge of the Winnipeg Jewish community and/or nonprofit sector is an asset
Fluency in a secondary language, such as Hebrew, Russian, or Spanish, is an asset
Ability to work evenings and on weekends, as required
