We recognize the land and waters that have inspired our work and offer gratitude to those Indigenous peoples on whose territory we work, live and play.The Collections Operations Team is responsible for managing the planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of assigned Centres and for controlling all collection activities and resources at those Centres. You will manage all Donor Centre staff and volunteers involved in mobile and permanent Centre events, have full accountability for a group of assigned direct reports and attend Donor Centre events.Formula For Success:
  • Utilizing your excellent customer service skills, ensure optimal clinic flow, a high level of service, and compliance with Canadian Blood Services policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety.
  • Leverage your superb leadership skills to ensure the staff performs duties in an effective, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Utilizing your superior interpersonal and communication skills to interview, hire, and complete all aspects of performance management, including progressive discipline as required.
  • Draw on your knowledge and experience to ensure each Centre is planned, organized, and managed to provide safe, efficient, and cost-effective blood collection.
  • With your ability to work effectively, you will ensure the needs of the donor, volunteer, and the public are met.
  • Utilize your proven success in leading a collaborative team by providing timely communication to staff, prompt follow-up for donor and staff concerns, and responding to on-site media inquiries.
Desired Education and Skills:
  • Successful completion of post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution in a health sciences discipline.
  • Proven leadership ability is essential, and a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is preferred
  • You will have sound knowledge and previous experience in blood collection, regulatory, and continuous quality improvement environments.
  • Experience in plateletpheresis and autologous programs would be considered an additional asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written in English, are essential.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
  • Possess a leadership skillset to build teams and have a passion for achieving results and a commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Must have a valid driver\'s license and access to a vehicle for travel to clinic locations.
  • Availability to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, is required.

  • You will be covering mobile events and fixed site events in Saskatoon.
  • Travel will be required to attend mobile events, and transportation will be provided by Canadian Blood Services.
