We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Closing Manager to oversee the final operations of our restaurant each evening. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth closing procedures, properly preparing and cooking all menu items, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation, and delivering excellent customer service. This role requires strong leadership, effective time management, and a thorough understanding of food industry standards to ensure the restaurant closes efficiently and ready for the next day. Must be available to work until 1am on weekdays and 3am on weekends with final leaving time based off when cleanup is done and paperwork is complete.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate all closing activities, including food preparation, sanitation, and cash handling
Oversee food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
Manage POS systems, for accurate cash handling and sales reconciliation
Lead the team in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed during closing shifts
Perform basic math calculations for cash register balancing and inventory counts
Assist with food service and cashiering duties as needed during closing hours
Train and support staff in proper sanitation, food safety, and customer service standards
Maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with sanitation guidelines
Prepare reports on daily sales, inventory, and operational issues for management review
Experience
Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, preferably with experience in food preparation, cashiering, and serving roles
Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and kitchen operations
Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete closing procedures within designated hours
Demonstrated ability to lead a team while maintaining high levels of customer service and professionalism
Basic math skills for cash handling, balancing registers, and inventory management
Previous experience in upselling techniques within the food industry is a plus
Knowledge of restaurant operations and food industry best practices is essential
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
