Role Overview
As a
Domain Broker
, you'll act as the communication bridge between domain owners and prospective buyers. Your goal is to create a positive, professional environment where both parties can negotiate productively.
You'll use research tools and investigative methods to locate domain owners when initial outreach doesn't succeed. Strong written and verbal English communication is essential, as you'll engage clients around the world. Additional languages are an asset.
The role requires timely, courteous responses to emails and phone calls, and balancing many negotiations at once.
Responsibilities
Initiate and manage domain name negotiations between buyers and sellers
Conduct domain ownership research using various online tools and databases
Maintain accurate, detailed records of communications and deal progress
Communicate clearly and professionally by email and phone
Ensure prompt, consistent follow-up with all parties throughout the negotiation process
Requirements
Based in
Canada
and legally eligible to work in Canada
Quiet, professional workspace suitable for phone conversations
Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages an asset
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Comfortable speaking on the phone and managing multiple active negotiations
Reliable high-speed internet and a personal laptop in good working order
Ability to work independently and stay organized in a remote environment
Preferred Skills & Experience
Prior experience in
sales, negotiation, or customer service
Familiarity with tools such as
Gmail, Slack, and Freshdesk
Bachelor's degree or college diploma
Compensation
$45,000 - $50,000 CAD per year
, depending on experience
Full-time, Monday to Friday (remote position)
