We're looking for an energetic, responsible, and dog focused individual to join our walking team! This position starts part-time with the opportunity to grow into full-time within a few months. Walkers handle daily group walks, with plenty of opportunities to earn extra income through private walks, relief breaks, overnight boarding, weekend adventures, and referral bonuses.
Because our dog groups form strong bonds with their walkers, we are
not looking for temporary help
. All new team members are asked to commit to at least
1 year
so the dogs (and their owners!) can build lasting trust and consistency.
What You'll Do:
Safely transport dogs using a
company-provided vehicle
(fully equipped).
Lead fun and safe
group walks (60 minutes each)
See 'Sample Day' below, to get an idea of what a full day would look like Provide
private walks and relief breaks
in between group walks.
Conduct
trial walks and meet & greets
with new clients.
Take quality
photos and videos
for report cards and social media.
Write clear, professional, and well-grammared
daily report cards
.
Represent Paws at Play professionally in the community (business cards provided).
Earn a
$50 referral bonus
when someone you referred books 5 walks.
Lead
weekend adventure group walks
for extra pay.
Overnight boarding opportunities
Drive extensively between pick-ups and drop-offs (
more driving than walking
).
Plan and organize efficient driving routes
to ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
Ensure the safety, happiness, and well-being of every dog in your care.
Compensation:
Half-day (AM or PM group walk): $65/day
Full-day (AM + PM group walks): $130/day
Overnight boarding: $70/night
Extra income through
private walks, relief breaks, weekend adventures, and referrals

Daily rates remain the same
regardless of exact pick-up/drop-off times.
Requirements:
Willing to commit to at least
1 year
with Paws at Play.
Must love dogs (all breeds and personalities!).
Have experience handling dogs in both indoor and outdoor settings
Valid
full BC driver's license
and
clear driving abstract

Must live in Vancouver
Must have somewhere to park a company vehicle
Highly organized and able to plan efficient routes.
Comfortable with
lots of driving
.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Physically fit
for walking dogs in all weather conditions.
Friendly, professional, and comfortable meeting new clients.
Basic photography/video skills

Strong written communication skills.
