Overview

We are looking for a dedicated, long-term team member to join our growing daycare staff. This is a hands-on, active role working directly with dogs every day. You'll be responsible for creating a safe and fun play environment, supporting daily operations, and maintaining a clean, professional facility. Duties

Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being. Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area by regularly cleaning up after the dogs, sanitizing play spaces and general maintenance of the indoor and outdoor play areas. Feed, administer medications and provide fresh water to dogs according to their specific dietary needs. Monitor dog behaviour and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or accidents. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behaviour, needs, and any concerns that may arise. Assist with heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or large dogs as needed. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to dog handling and customer service.

Skills

Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners and address their inquiries or concerns. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring the safety of both yourself and the animals in your care. Excellent communication skills to relay important information about the dogs to their owners. A genuine love for animals, with a strong understanding of dog behaviour and body language. Team player mentality, working collaboratively with other staff members to provide the best care possible. Extreme attention to details to effectively record any and all necessary information on each furry guest!

Requirements

Valid driver's license + personal vehicle Available
