Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Boarder to join our team. In this role, you will provide a safe and nurturing environment for dogs while their owners are away. With this position you have the opportunity to pet sit dogs in your own home, or in the clients home. You will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of each dog, fulfilling both their physical and mental needs during their stay, maintaining a clean and organized space, and delivering exceptional customer service and communicate to pet owners. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for animals and their wellbeing. Pay for this position is commission based and will be further discussed during the interview process.

Duties

Supervise and care for dogs in a boarding your home or in the client's home, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times Feed, exercise, basic grooming needs such as brushing(when needed)and administer medications to dogs as needed Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to management Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and well-being and providing daily updates Create a positive experience for both dogs and their owners through friendly interactions and attention to detail. Daily walks and mental stimulation for dogs in your care. Pet First Aid certification is required. If you do not have your certification, management will provide you with a course prior to taking on any boarders.

Experience

Previous experience in animal care or customer service is preferred but not required Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with both pets and their owners A genuine love for animals and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting dogs, walking them, and maintaining an active environment
