Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Bather to join our grooming team. The Dog Bather will assist our professional groomer by bathing, drying, and brushing dogs. This role is essential in ensuring the comfort and cleanliness of the animals in our care.

About Dog Tales Rescue & Sanctuary:

Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and horse sanctuary set on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario. Our picturesque location - complete with walking trails, therapy pools, and a grooming spa - is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention, and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. For the rest, Dog Tales is home for as long as they need it to be.

The Role:

Bathe dogs of all sizes and temperaments using proper handling and bathing techniques Assist groomers with tasks as needed Ensure all grooming tools and bathing areas are cleaned and sanitized regularly Monitor the health and behaviour of dogs during baths and report any concerns Handle animals with care, patience, and respect at all times Maintain accurate records of grooming services provided

What You Bring

:

Previous experience working with dogs is required Ability to safely and compassionately handle dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Physically able to lift dogs (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Schedule:

This is a full-time position. The current hours are 7:30am-4:30pm from Tuesday-Saturday.
