The Position



The Document Preparation Specialist provides high-level advanced administrative support to the Client Solutions Team. Reporting to the Financial Solutions Manager, the Document Preparation Specialist assists in the preparation of insolvency estate documents by performing a variety of tasks. The Document Preparation Specialists also performs administrative tasks, such as maintaining and organizing electronic files/records, conducts follow-up, along with other general administrative duties. The Document Preparation Specialist will be required to commit to a flexible schedule which may include shifts within the Company's hours of operation which are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. MST, Monday - Saturday.



Key Accountabilities:



Compiles information, and drafts, prepares, and proofreads insolvency estate and administrative documents in accordance with best practices and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA). Collects data and information from various sources including requesting reports and conducting searches in accordance with best practices and procedures. Uses insolvency software, CRM, and electronic tools to prepare, collect and save documents and client information. Verifies and logs the receipt of data, obtains any data that is missing, files court documents, and processes and issues garnishee letters. Resolves minor processing problems; seeks assistance from supervisor or other appropriate staff for issues beyond immediate expertise. Performs other related duties such as reception coverage for breaks and/or absences.

Education, Knowledge & Skills:



Post-secondary diploma in business, administration, or related field with a minimum 2 years' experience in administration, data entry or similar field. Meticulous self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment, able to work independently, and is able to cope effectively under pressure with shifting priorities with many different team members. Excellent and precise data entry and keyboarding skills with a minimum speed of 45 WRM. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an aptitude for learning new software. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
