dThe

Dock Supervisor

supports the day-to-day operation of the loading dock by overseeing on-shift activities, coordinating deliveries, and supervising Loading Dock Operators. This role focuses on ensuring dock operations run safely, smoothly, and efficiently, while providing on-site leadership and customer service.



The Dock Supervisor reports to the Dock Manager and plays a key role in maintaining operational standards and resolving real-time issues on the dock.



What You'll Do:



Supervise Loading Dock Operators during assigned shifts Support daily loading dock operations, including traffic flow, access control, and deliveries Monitor reservation systems, signalization, and CCTV to maintain safety and efficiency Act as the primary point of contact for delivery drivers and on-site personnel during shifts Address and escalate operational issues to the Dock Manager as required Ensure compliance with safety procedures, post orders, and company policies Complete shift reports, incident reports, and required documentation Conduct basic equipment checks and report maintenance concerns Assist with training, mentoring, and coaching dock staff Support access control, key management, and delivery coordination


What We're Looking For:


Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role within logistics, loading dock, security, or operations Familiarity with loading dock procedures, equipment, and safety practices Valid BC Security Worker Licence Occupational First Aid Level 1 or higher Conflict Management and Resolution certification Strong communication, report-writing, and record-keeping skills Legally entitled to work in Canada Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 30 lbs Fluent in English (verbal and written) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable spending time on your feet and engaging with the public Valid TCP certificate
