Our client is seeking a Division Manager to lead the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) and Western Ontario lubricants business based out of Milton, Ontario. This role carries full responsibility for the division's profit and loss as well as its operations, including warehousing, trucking, customer service & order management, invoicing, and administration.
Success in this role will require a hands-on leader who can manage day-to-day operations while keeping sight of the resources needed to sustain growth. The Manager drives results through operational efficiency, financial oversight, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering timely, personalized service.
Oversee operational planning, business analysis, and cost control.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of the truck fleet, vehicles, and warehouse.
Monitor customer profitability and provide recommendations to improve margins.
Train, motivate, and support employees to consistently deliver excellent service.
Develop productive partnerships with suppliers and contractors.
Manage health and safety programs, incident investigations, and compliance reporting.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Environment, MTO, etc.).
Review delivery routes regularly to maximize efficiency.
Coordinate product replenishment and warehouse activities to maintain adequate inventory.
Collaborate with Sales Representatives to deliver responsive customer solutions.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing asset-based operations in a transportation and customer service environment.
Background in trucking operations, preferably liquid bulk, is an asset.
Strong leadership skills with a hands-on management style.
Proficiency with computer systems and operational software.
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen.
Experience in transportation dispatch is an advantage.
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
Willingness to travel to customer sites and other locations as required.
Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
This is a hands on role, an ideal candidate would be someone who is mechanically inclined, has forklift experience and is willing to jump in and help out when needed.
Compensation
Competitive salary of $95K-$99K to start plus annual bonus.
