The Opportunity

As a Director of Sales, you will be responsible for promoting a full range of Wealth Management solutions to investment advisors with industry-leading access to Portfolio Managers and Strategists, providing proactive sales and business building ideas. Success will be measured through the establishment of new sales in Manulife Investment products.

Prospecting and building new relationships will be key to this role. You will be accountable for sales growth and relationship management within a defined region. You will maintain agreed upon levels of virtual and face to face contact with the advisors in the region and record daily activities using the current contact management system.

Exceptional knowledge of wealth products, such as Mutual Funds, ETFs, Real Assets, and Separately Managed Accounts is required for this role.

Responsibilities

Achieve bold sales targets and annual production goals.

Identify and pursue new relationships within the financial advisor network.

Provide new ideas to advisors to help them develop business.

Give advisor and investor seminars.

Develop and share ongoing best practices, sales, marketing and business development ideas and strategies with peers and advisors.

Participation in the sale of investment products through both IIROC and MFDA channels

Knowledgeable on the current industry landscape and competitors with an ability to be innovative in sales strategies, marketing concepts and product applications.

Willingness to become an expert in wealth management solutions and strategies through leadership and a strong sense of self awareness.

Qualifications

College or University degree in a related field is required

5 years Investment Sales experience with extensive and thorough knowledge of Financial Services industry and capital markets, ideally with familiarity in advisor practice management.

Knowledge of Wealth Management products (mutual funds, ETFs) and an understanding of global financial markets

Successful completion of industry related courses such as CSC, IFIC, CFP (or working towards completion of industry related courses
