District Sales Manager

Job Description


We are looking for a District Sales Manager - Atlantic Canada to join our team from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia or PEI. This role will be responsible for managing the growth of Xplore\'s subscriber base within those regions. You will become the customer advocate for this area while focusing on achievement of the sales, churn and service objectives by working with our channel partners and cross-function Xplore Inc. partners. This position will be accountable to the Regional Leader for key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting company and channel sales, budgets, goals, and productivity, and contributing to profitability objectives.
  • Attracting and onboarding a high-performing channel sales team. Providing support to the channel partners and the back-office teams to achieve sales targets. Evaluating performance and providing direction on standard practices, assisting in resolving problems and identifying areas of improvement, including developing action plans.
  • Establishing exceptional business relations with channel partners, providing council and leadership.
  • Ensuring all channel partners are adhering to company direction, standards, policies and procedures. The District Manager will recruit and onboard new channel sales partners in order to achieve sales targets.
  • Coaching your channel partners and their teams to support company plans and objectives. Critically assessing the performance of your District and making changes where necessary to meet objectives.
  • Supporting the execution of incentive plans.
  • Being the subject matter expert for your district and acting as an ambassador by professionally representing the Xplore Brand.
  • Fostering relationships with key business and leaders within the community, and position and promote XCI as the leader in rural high-speed internet.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Minimum 3 years\' experience in sales and business development along with post-secondary education in a related field of study.
  • Knowledge in market, geography, NPS and competitive intel. It will be necessary to anticipate opportunities to exceed both external and internal customer expectations.
  • A passion for achieving superior sales results.
  • A track record of actively coaching, developing and stretching others to their full potential.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to see beyond results in order to make and influence necessary changes.
  • A passion for the latest technology with the ability to relay that passion.
  • Previous Channel management experience.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Internet Service Provider (ISP/WISP) market and relevant technologies is an asset.
  • Practical experience with a variety of software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
  • Travelling required along with valid driver\'s license and use of your own vehicle.
  • Experience within the telecommunications industry is strongly preferred.
  • Previous relationship management experience - an asset.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where change is ongoing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining tight deadlines and juggling multiple projects.
  • Previous experience presenting to small and medium sized groups.
