JBS Equipment is seeking a

Distribution Manager

to lead our warehouse, yard, and shipping operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that goods are received and delivered accurately and on time--both to our production teams and to our customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:



Inventory & Yard Management



Oversee organization of inventory and yard layout to optimize space and product flow. Ensure accurate and timely receiving of materials Investigate discrepancies in reported quantities or locations. Organize cycle counts/inventory counts with the Supply Chain Coordinator.

Shipping & Logistics



Develop and implement efficient loading/unloading processes for production bays. Oversee unit shipping operations and support process improvements for accuracy and efficiency. Manage import/export logistics, including container loading and 3PL relationships. Support rollout of unit parts storage and management strategy.

Production Support



Ensure alignment between Shipping & Receiving (S&R) and Production schedules. Take the lead on initiating Job Travelers for parts moving through production.

Leadership & Oversight



Lead and mentor Supervisors in Yard, Warehouse, and Unit Shipping operations. Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance Build a strong team culture with clear productivity targets.

Safety & Process Improvement



Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company policies. Develop, monitor, and improve warehouse and yard processes to drive efficiency.

Qualifications:



Minimum 5 years in warehouse or distribution management, with 10+ years in warehousing/S&R. Proven leadership and team-building skills in a manufacturing environment. Strong planning, organizational, and resource allocation abilities. Experience with import/export logistics, container loading, and third-party logistics providers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with inventory/order management systems. Forklift certification/experience an asset. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
