Position: Distribution Coordinator Lead



Position Reporting to:

Canadian Logistics Warehouse Manager

Summary/Objective



Reporting to the Canadian Logistics Warehouse Manager the DC Coordinator Lead provides customer support to our distribution center, customers as well as internal customers. Ensure their shipments are shipped accurately and in a timely manner. Provide requested information directly to the customer as requested. Provide administrative support for Logistics & Warehouse Department as well as be responsible for scheduling and dispatch vehicles for conveyance of freight.

Essential Functions



Dispatch drivers and Carriers Track and trace Carrier shipments and local deliveries Create BOL's, Carrier Manifests and drivers run sheets Assist with pick ups Data Entry Answer phones and trouble shoot Work with Supervisors and warehouse staff to ensure freight moves in a timely manner Provide direction to DC team members Act as backup to the Logistics Warehouse Manager Daily calling and emailing to carriers for scheduled pick ups Responsible for customer pickups Invoicing customer orders Handing out Inventory checks Routing delivery drivers Creating Manifests GTA and Common Carrier Handles customer and driver calls and inquiries in a timely, professional manner. Tracking and tracing of shipments/Deliveries Processing Return orders/Purchase Orders Plan, Coordinate and Monitor inbound shipments within North America and determine the most cost-efficient routes.

Skills and Qualifications



Excellent verbal and written communication. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize tasks as per importance. Positive attitude, team player, customer service focused.

Required Education and Experience



General Education, high school diploma. Must have minimum of three + (3+) years of previous experience as a dispatcher, logistics coordinator or transportation customer service role. Knowledge of GTA surrounding areas. WMS experience is an asset.
