Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Distribution Assistant to join our team at Rubicon Distribution Centre in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
Responsibilities:
Report to the Distribution Centre Manager and manage the receiving and fulfilling of customer orders for medications and supplies for clinics and hospitals
Operate within Health Canada - Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate regulations for the wholesaling of medications and medical devices, ensuring compliance with product procurement, temperature storage, shipping requirements, customer complaints, and product recalls
Some physical tasks are involved, including receiving stock, warehousing, and moving items.
The role also requires regular telephone and in-person communication with customers placing orders.
Order, receive, store, and secure materials and supplies necessary for the department's ongoing operations, following and executing store policies
Ensure the Health Canada-licensed warehouse is properly maintained, adhering to safety and regulatory standards for handling medications and medical devices
Contribute to increasing profitability through effective inventory control, minimizing wastage, and optimizing stock levels without shortages
Build and maintain strong relationships with the team, customers, and vendors, ensuring the long-term viability of operations
Participate in product cataloging, vendor management, and tracking of materials to support current and future needs
Maintain accurate records, reporting, and communication with the Pharmacy Manager/Store Operator
Provide support and services to Neighbourly Pharmacy locations as needed
Perform miscellaneous tasks to support the Distribution Centre Manager and Store Operator
Qualifications:
Preference for candidates with previous pharmacy experience and knowledge of SAGE computer applications (training can be provided)
Experience with month-end reporting, accounts, billables & payables, and inventory control, including receiving and shipping
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Professional image, grooming, and a positive attitude with excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and co-workers
Physically capable of performing essential job duties, including lifting up to 30 lbs
Successful candidates must complete a Criminal Record Check due to the sensitive nature of the position
Schedule:
40 hours per week (Full-time).
The standard shifts will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
