Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of freight and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in various phone systems and data entry tasks. As a Dispatcher, you will be the vital link between drivers, clients, and internal teams, ensuring that all operations run smoothly.

Duties

Manage incoming and outgoing communications via phone systems to coordinate freight movements. Enter and maintain accurate data in our systems, including SyteLine, to track shipments and deliveries. Utilize strong phone etiquette to communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and vendors. Analyze shipping schedules and routes to optimize delivery times and reduce costs. Collaborate with 3PL (Third Party Logistics) providers to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Monitor freight status and provide updates to stakeholders as needed. Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation by communicating promptly with all parties involved. Type reports and documentation related to dispatch activities accurately and efficiently.

Experience

Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role is must. Familiarity with supply chain processes and freight management is a plus. Proficient in using phone systems for effective communication. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail. Ability to analyze information quickly and make informed decisions under pressure. Excellent verbal communication skills for clear interaction with drivers and customers. Experience with SyteLine or similar logistics software is advantageous.
