Our people make the difference and currently we are seeking two experienced Dispatchers to join our growing Dispatch team, if you are a self starter, attentive to detail, an excellent problem solver, and able to work with little to no supervision and are looking for an exciting opportunity to provide an outstanding customer experience to our client groups then this role is for you!

Duties

The Dispatcher is responsible for the scheduling and dispatch of crew members to various healthcare facilities and private residences within our service areas, our dispatchers act as our liaison between our different client groups, our crew members and relevant stakeholders. The role provides timely support in a fast paced, high call volume office environment, our ideal candidate is able to manage competing priorities, able to pay attention to minute details, and thrives in a constantly changing environment. The Dispatcher relays work orders, messages, and information to or from drivers and supervisors using telephones and two-way radios. The Dispatcher schedules and dispatches workers and drivers to appropriate locations according to requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones.

Essential qualifications

• Experience in a similar role delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with clinical staff, patients, and other stakeholders while conveying professionalism and authority at all times.
• Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
• Ability to pay attention to details.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others and contributing to a respectful workplace.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

Desired

• Proficiency in using dispatching software and GPS systems.
• Experience working in emergency or nonemergency medical transport
• Knowledge of geographic locations and road networks within service area.
• Post secondary education in a related field.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Satisfactory Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check & Child Abuse Registry Check

Ability to work overtime and weekends

Customer Service: 1 year (required)

Administrative: 1 year (required)
