About the Role
Lou-Mac Transport is seeking a motivated and organized Dispatcher to join our dynamic operations team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating freight transportation activities in a manner that is efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable regulations. You will work closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and seamless service. Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently coordinate and dispatch freight transportation assignments with a focus on safety, cost, and timeliness
• Monitor and ensure adherence to driver routes, schedules, and compliance requirements
• Provide quotes for U.S. and Canadian transportation in line with company policies and regulatory standards
• Negotiate rates and services with clients and carriers
• Selling transportation loads as a freight broker
• Prepare and process essential transportation documentation (e.g., customs manifests, delivery notes)
• Review and validate drivers' daily logs
• Compile and submit weekly payroll information for drivers
• Serve as a point of contact for customer, driver, and internal mechanic team inquiries
• Participate in client meetings and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company standards (e.g., CTPAT, PEP, driver records)

What We're Looking For

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Bilingual (French/English)
• Strong team player with leadership capabilities
• In-depth knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
• Experience in flatbed transportation (an asset)
• Effective decision-making skills and the ability to act under pressure
• Solid understanding of North American geography
• Proficient with technology (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, dispatch software, GPS, etc.)
