Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize advanced transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries. This role requires strong analysis skills, proficiency in various software platforms, and excellent communication abilities to support efficient fleet management and shipping & receiving processes.

Responsibilities



Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine. Utilize GIS, GPS, and other tracking tools to monitor vehicle locations and optimize routes for transportation planning. Manage dispatching activities for fleet vehicles, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules and customer requirements. Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, deliveries, and inventory using systems like AS400 and 3PL platforms. Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear and professional phone etiquette. Oversee shipping & receiving operations, including freight documentation, tracking, and issue resolution. Analyze logistics data to improve efficiency in transportation management and supply chain processes. Support fleet management activities by coordinating vehicle maintenance schedules and tracking vehicle utilization. Assist in transportation planning by analyzing routes, delivery times, and traffic conditions to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications



Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment. Strong knowledge of transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management; familiarity with SyteLine is a plus. Proficiency in GIS, GPS technology, and freight tracking tools. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret logistics data for decision-making. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management, and 3PL operations. Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multiple lines simultaneously. Competency in data entry using systems like AS400; typing speed is advantageous. Knowledge of supply chain principles, transportation planning, and logistics best practices. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour
