The Opportunity

Safex Transport is currently hiring a

Dispatcher

to join our operations team.

This role plays a key part in managing day-to-day freight activities, maintaining strong relationships with customers and brokers, and ensuring seamless coordination between dispatch and drivers. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan loads in alignment with customer requirements and driver schedules Maintain clear, consistent communication with customers to confirm load details, provide updates, and resolve service issues Schedule and coordinate pickup and delivery appointments Monitor shipment progress, proactively identify delays, and communicate updates to all stakeholders Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email in a professional, timely manner Ensure accuracy of data and documentation within dispatch and transportation management systems Collaborate closely with internal dispatch and driver teams to support operational goals Manage multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

Prior experience in freight booking, dispatch, brokerage, or logistics operations (preferred) Proven experience managing drivers Exceptional multitasking, time-management, and organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Collaborative team player with a solution-oriented mindset Experience with
