Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher/Booker for Eastern Canada to join our dynamic team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of freight, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients and booking freight. This role is crucial in supporting our supply chain operations and enhancing overall efficiency within the organization.

Responsibilities

Manage daily dispatch operations, including scheduling and routing of shipments. Communicate effectively with drivers to provide updates and resolve any issues that may arise during transit. Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure smooth operations. Maintain accurate records of freight movements and update relevant databases, including AS400 and SyteLine systems. Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize transportation processes. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all dispatch activities.

Skills

Must have Loadlink and freight booking experience Strong knowledge of freight logistics and supply chain management principles. Proficient in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for tracking shipments. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette. Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes within a logistics environment. A keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
