Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Responsibilities

Quality Control and Safety:

Ensure compliance with all quality control and safety procedures.

Manage and motivate a diverse team of drivers.

Customer Interaction:

Field phone calls, emails, and texts from customers and sales.

Notify drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments.

Coordinate with customers to schedule drop-offs and pick-ups.

Provide scale tickets to customers and sales as required.

Operational Monitoring:

Monitor GPS information to make the best use of company assets. Monitor drivers throughout the day to ensure adherence to schedules and assist with delays.

Ensure loads are entered into the company TMS.

Advise delivery yards of expected loads and product types in a timely manner. Update the shipment tracking system and maintain timely data integrity.

Documentation and Invoicing:

Invoice customers daily and monthly.

Performance Measurement:

Measure and report service and operational data and efficiencies.

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

Maintain communication with the Logistics Manager to report issues on a daily basis and develop solutions to ensure productivity and efficiency with operations.

Perform other duties as assigned
