Dispatcher

About the Role
The Dispatcher plays a key role in the daily success of our operations by coordinating drivers, optimizing routes, and ensuring every customer receives exceptional, on-time service. You will be part of a supportive, driven team that values proactive communication, efficiency, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and optimize daily routes to meet customer needs while maintaining productivity and efficiency targets.
Schedule and assign drivers to routes, ensuring they have the right tools, equipment, and information to complete their assignments safely and efficiently.
Serve as the primary communication link between drivers, customers, and internal departments--including sales and operations--to ensure service excellence and real-time issue resolution.
Monitor progress throughout the day, anticipating and addressing route or equipment challenges to prevent service disruptions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the company's dispatch and routing systems.
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with drivers and customers to ensure collaboration, trust, and transparency.
Support weekend operations.
Participate in daily check-ins with the dispatch and operations team to review service performance and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of dispatch, logistics coordination, or route planning experience (waste industry experience an asset but not required).
Knowledge:
Familiarity with Lower Mainland geography and municipalities is essential.
Skills:
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Clear and professional communication--both written and verbal.
Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Compensation & Benefits
Full-time, permanent position
Tuesday to Saturday
Competitive salary
based on experience. $30.00 to $33.00
