Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Dispatcher to join our team in Dartmouth NS. The Dispatcher will coordinate freight operations, communicate with drivers and clients, and ensure timely delivery of shipments. This role is vital in maintaining our company's reputation for dependability and service quality.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily freight operations to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams using multi-line phone systems. Utilize transportation management systems to schedule shipments and track deliveries. Manage shipping and receiving documentation accurately. Analyze operational data to optimize routes and improve efficiency. Maintain excellent phone etiquette and professional communication at all times. Support the logistics team with data entry and administrative tasks. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

Proven experience with transportation management systems or logistics coordination. Strong communication skills and ability to handle multi-line phone systems. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to analyze data for operational improvements. Knowledge of freight operations and shipping procedures. Proficiency in typing and data entry. Familiarity with AS400 or SyteLine is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
