Road to Rail Construction Group is hiring an experienced
Dispatcher
to support our heavy construction, oilfield, and hauling operations. This is a critical role coordinating trucks, equipment, and crews in a fast-paced, real-world construction environment.
This position is ideal for someone who understands lowbedding, gravel hauling, compliance requirements, and the realities of long hours and on-call work during shift rotations.
Responsibilities
Dispatch and coordinate
lowbed moves, gravel hauling, and heavy equipment
Schedule and track
Class 1 drivers, trucks, and equipment
Ensure compliance with
federal and provincial transportation regulations
Monitor
hours of service, logs, permits, and safety requirements
Communicate with drivers, field supervisors, and management
React to changing priorities, breakdowns, and urgent requests
Maintain accurate dispatch records and documentation
Be
on-call and available for extended hours
during scheduled shifts
Requirements
Experience dispatching
heavy construction, lowbedding, and gravel hauling
Strong knowledge of
federal compliance and hours of service
Valid Class 1 driver's license
Ability to manage multiple crews and equipment simultaneously
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Able to work long hours when operational demands require it
