Overview

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain network. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with carriers and internal teams, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely delivery. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient shipping and receiving processes while supporting overall supply chain performance.

Responsibilities:

Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation. Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal departments via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette. Monitor freight status, troubleshoot issues, and provide real-time updates to stakeholders. Analyze shipping data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. Maintain organized records of shipments, deliveries, and related documentation for audit purposes. Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize freight routes and schedules for efficiency.

Requirements

:

Strong understanding of supply chain operations, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to convey information clearly across multiple channels. Proficiency in data entry, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems efficiently. Analytical skills to review logistics data, identify trends, and recommend improvements. Knowledge of 3PL operations and freight industry standards is preferred. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively. This position is integral to maintaining seamless transportation operations within our organization by ensuring accurate coordination of shipments and effective communication across all parties involved.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$23.36 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
