Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and team members
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to plan routes and track shipments
- Answer incoming calls and maintain phone etiquette at all times
- Analyze transportation data to optimize routes and improve efficiency
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for freight movement
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed
- Perform data entry accurately and in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dispatching role is preferred but not required
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling high call volumes
- Familiarity with transportation management systems is a plus
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Knowledge of freight operations and logistics processes
