Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, managing freight shipments, and ensuring efficient communication across supply chain operations. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with transportation management systems and shipping & receiving processes is highly valued. The Dispatcher plays a vital role in maintaining smooth operations and supporting our supply chain efficiency.

Duties

Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems such as SyteLine and AS400 Manage shipping & receiving activities to ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods Utilize multi-line phone systems and maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with carriers, vendors, and internal teams Input data accurately into various systems, including freight details, delivery schedules, and inventory updates Analyze shipping data to identify potential delays or issues and implement solutions proactively Collaborate with 3PL providers and internal departments to optimize logistics operations Monitor supply chain activities to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards Maintain detailed records of shipments, deliveries, and related documentation for reporting purposes Assist in troubleshooting transportation issues and provide effective communication updates to stakeholders

Experience

Proven experience working with transportation management systems such as SyteLine or AS400 preferred Strong knowledge of supply chain logistics, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy in typing and record keeping Strong analysis skills to interpret logistics data and improve operational efficiency Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette in handling multi-line phone systems Familiarity with 3PL operations, freight coordination, and warehouse management is a plus Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Prior experience in a dispatcher or logistics coordinator role is preferred but not required

Pay: $17.75-$30.42 per hour
