Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Utilize transportation management systems to schedule and dispatch freight effectively. Monitor and analyze supply chain operations to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to coordinate shipping and receiving activities. Perform data entry tasks accurately, maintaining up-to-date records of shipments and deliveries. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems. Employ analysis skills to identify potential issues in logistics and propose solutions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all dispatch operations. Maintain a high level of phone etiquette while addressing inquiries from customers and drivers.

Qualifications

Proficiency in transportation management systems, AS400, SyteLine, or similar software is preferred. Experience in freight handling and understanding of shipping & receiving processes. Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear interactions with stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities effectively. Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics role is advantageous but not mandatory.
