Job Responsibilities

As the dispatcher, you are responsible from the beginning of the process to the end. Entering the orders into our dispatch system Axon and building a manifest, dispatching the driver, following up until the POD is in the system and the order is ready for billing. To do this you are in constant communication with drivers as well as our customers. You will be responsible for dispatching deliveries, preplanning freight for return trips.

Qualifications:

As the successful candidate, you will be self-motivated, results driven and a team player. In addition, you will possess the following qualifications:


Experience as a Dispatcher in the transportation field with 3 years minimum experience required Experience in "hunting" freight through load Boards, supplier distribution emails, customer emails. Experience and knowledge of Canadian and US shipping regulations and practices. Deck & Van experience along with LTL shipping knowledge is required This position requires an individual who is adaptable; self-motivated, results driven and a team player. Successful with building and maintaining strong customer relationships. An expert at multi-tasking and effectively managing changing priorities. High level of detail in performing tasks. Proactive, able to identify early on any potential issues, and to implement solutions. Experience in Dispatch Systems Axon and Microsoft Office is required
