We offer
Performance Team and Damco Distribution, now part of the Maersk global organization under a combined Warehousing & Distribution division, offer third party logistics services to over 500 customers. Encompassing almost 15 million square feet of warehousing capacity throughout the country and a large transportation segment capturing a variety of services, we have key supply chain hubs in the Los Angeles and New Jersey/New York areas, and other facilities along the Western & Eastern coasts along with multiple locations in the Midwest. Delivering significant sales and profitability growth, we will drive the Inland Logistics and Services business for the combined US business units for Maersk. Key responsibilities

  • Identify driver capacity and pre-plan assigned drivers
  • Provide detailed communication and direction to drivers as to their
daily job and assignment.
  • Maintain dispatch system accuracy and in live status; ensure completed
work is updated and cleared properly in the system, including but not
limited to proper dates, destination, equipment type and statuses.
  • Review, follow up, and adjust routing of pick-ups/deliveries to optimize
driver time
  • Effectively perform data entry into TMS, YMS, and in-house systems
  • Answer radio/phones and return calls timely
  • Monitor.in gate/out gate and termination of equipment: to minimize
demurrage and per diem exposure
  • Reply to emails timely and professionally
  • Prevent unnecessary\' accessorial charges (bobtailing, stop-offs, dry
runs, etc)
  • Proactive communication for all terminal/facility issues, delays, and
driver down time
  • Completing the daily recap and providing shift notes for the next shift
and dispatchers
  • Track and communicate MC3 app driver non-compliance and initiate
corrective action
  • Strong understanding of port terminals and operational processes
  • Complete other tasks and duties assigned by Management

We are looking for

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED a must. Possessing a 4 year BS degree in
Business, Logistics, Engineering or other STEM field is highly valued.
  • 2+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with a proven track record in international
containerized transport industry.
  • 2+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in customer service and internal relations.
  • 2+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with drayage and port activity.
  • 2+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience managing carrier and international logistics
performance monitoring and reporting.
  • 2+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience analytical skills combined with detailed practical
business acumen.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, to include filtering, pivots,
Boolean formulas and V-lookups.

  • Customer first mindset and mission focus.
  • Must possess mindset and desire to work & collaborate in a team
environment.
  • Must possess a self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding operational environment,
sometimes without detailed direction.
  • Proven ability to identify improvement opportunities and perform
business and cost analysis to make recommendations.
  • Working simultaneously on multiple, complex projects.
  • Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks without
input/guidance from manager.
  • English proficiency in written and spoken forms.
  • Other language proficiency is a plus.
