Dispatch and Logistics Coordinator SunDog Transportation and Tours has been sharing our transportation and touring expertise with international, regional, and local guests for over 25 years. We are Canadian Rocky Mountain transportation experts and a one-stop shop for those who would love to explore our home base here in Jasper, Alberta. Our staff live, work, and roam the rocky mountains and as a new Dispatch and Logistics coordinator, you will be counted on as a leader on a daily basis. This position demands a talented, motivated, well organized individual who is confident in making on the go decisions for the betterment of our guests and employees. The Dispatch and Logistics Coordinator will be managing the delivery of SunDog\xe2\x80\x99s daily connector shuttles, seasonal tours, and private chartered transportation services. You will experience the services and tours SunDog has to offer throughout our training program. We take pride in building and continuing relationships with our guests, wholesalers, third party partners, tour directors, and staff, as a Dispatch and logistics coordinator you will be the leading force of this communication network. The Role As a Dispatch and Logistics Coordinator you will be working alongside our reservations and operations teams to manage all transportation matters within SunDog. Scheduling staff, forecasting passenger volume, coordinating trip itineraries, and reviewing reservation requests will all be part of the preparatory portion of this position . The Dispatch and Logistics Coordinator team will also be responsible for the day to day delivery of our tours and services, a strong leader will find the most success in the position. Key Responsibilities of a Dispatch And Logistics Coordinator Actioning the key responsibilities listed below is a large part of this position.

• Effectively Manage staff schedules, including drivers, cleaners, and mechanics
• Equipment (Bus) Inventory Management. Work closely with Operations and Mechanical teams about availability and application of equipment.
• Daily scheduling and dispatching of drivers. Preparing routes and schedules for use by staff, wholesalers, 3rd party partners, and traveling guests.
• Communicate with drivers about trip details, prepare trip sheets.
• Process and transmit information to field personnel via phone or computer aided dispatch systems.
• Advise staff of traffic delays such as construction areas, accidents,weather conditions, and road closures.
• Amend core dispatch files.
• Ensure drivers punctuality and advise of necessary changes throughout the day.
• Monitoring the cleanliness of vehicles and communicate with Bus Washers,
• Assisting with hiring and training of new driving/ guiding staff.
• Assist the reservations team during high volume transactions.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills required
• Proficient in Google workspace, MS Office, reservation systems
• Experience Scheduling and Managing Staff an asset
• Education and or experience in Transportation dispatch an asset
• Local Knowledge of the Canadian Rockies an asset
• Professional Driver\'s license (Class 1-4) an asset
• Experience in the travel and tourism industry an asset
• Proficiency in multiple languages an asset
