Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness of our kitchen and supporting food preparation tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to maintain a clean kitchen environment. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes. Support the cooking staff by preparing ingredients for menu items and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available. Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas, including sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods, particularly during banquets or catering events. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines related to food handling and kitchen operations. Participate in inventory management by keeping track of supplies and notifying supervisors of any shortages.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant/cafe or hotel setting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates with a strong willingness to learn. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is advantageous. Experience in bussing tables or serving is a plus, particularly in high-volume environments such as catering or banquets. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and organization within the kitchen. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Knowledge of food handling safety practices is essential; culinary training or certification is beneficial but not required. Pay: From $15.00 per hour
