What you'll be doing:
You will be a welcomed member of the team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents' lives. As a Dishwasher, you will help maintain residents' health and well-being by ensuring dishes, kitchen equipment, and work areas are clean, safe, and sanitary at all times. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.
What makes you a great fit?
Cleaning dishes, pots, glassware, and cutlery following established sanitation procedures
Ensuring correct usage of chemicals in dish machine and pot-washing areas, i.e. uses 3-sink method for pot washing
Cleaning kitchen, including mopping entire floor
Assuming cleaning tasks as per site cleaning schedules
Receiving, uncrating, and putting away supplier deliveries as required
Alerting team leader to problems and makes recommendations about corrective action
Performing other duties as assigned
What you need to know:
Grade 10 minimum education required.
Must have Smart Serve designation and one year experience in dining room service.
Proven customer service skills and excellent command of verbal and written English language
Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
Safe Food Handling Certification is preferred
All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check. You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
